INFLUENZA VACCINE PROGRAM
Central Jersey Internal Medicine will begin our Annual Influenza Program in September. Up to one in five people in the United States may get the virus every year with an average of 36,000 deaths due to complications of influenza. Individuals with chronic health problems including lung disease, diabetes and cancer are at most risk.
All individuals over the age of 50 should be immunized annually. The influenza vaccine is safe and effective. People with egg allergies and certain neurologic diseases should not receive the vaccine. Please call our office to schedule an appointment. Vaccine clinics will be conducted weekly.
